The “A” terminal is where the large cruise ships — Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival — make their home. You will take this exit to your right and make a large loop around. Starting out, it helps to have an overview of the port before you get there. The port is located about 45 minutes due east of Orlando, on Cape Canaveral. There is only one road from Orlando to Cape Canaveral — Florida 528 (a toll road also know as the “Beachline”). A few restrooms are also available within parking garages. Porters are available at each cruise terminal to assist with luggage. If you're flying into Orlando with time to spare, a nice option is to rent a car there, use it to explore the area around the Cape then return it at the port before your cruise. The parking fee is waived for vehicles with special equipment, such as wheelchair ramps and lifts, or to those with Florida exemption permits. You can either stay on the Beachline to head toward the “B” cruise terminals or you can exit to your right to go to the “A” cruise terminals. From Orlando and I-95From Orlando, head East on SR 528 “Beach Line” toward Port Canaveral/Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach. From I-95, take Exit 205-A East onto SR 528 toward Port Canaveral. At Port Canaveral, continue straight as SR 528 turns into SR A1A/Astronaut Blvd. heading south.
